No one can do that forever. But the thing is, this is the role of a designer nowadays. If you look at Castiglioni, for example, he was in his studio all the time, drawing with the pencil he kept behing his ear. Today's designers have to know everything about all the latest computer programs and act like rock stars. If you we're not present in Milan or at any of the other fairs, we're not in the loop any more. People expect us to be everywhere. It's easy to be a show dog, but I don't see design as entertainment. Leonardo da Vinci never went anywhere, and nobody complained".
